What time can you be there?

The most recent debate about the planning has been the time of the event. Some people just won't be able to wake-up early and get there by 9am. But all runs, walks n' rolls that I know of start early - at 8 or 9 am. Part of the reason that we need to start early is because we do not have exclusive use of the trail. The trail is open to the public and we will be "hogging" it for a portion of the morning, so the earlier the better (fewer people from general public). I think starting the walk n' roll at 9am is reasonable. Any opinions?

10:00 AM for a start time might be a lot better, if that works with the park's visitor schedule. Reasons for later time: many ataxians take quite a long time to get ready to get out of the house, many [some?] people may need well over an hour just to get there. Reasons for earlier time: heat, crowds. I, for one, couldn't get there by 8 at all, and 9 would be very difficult.

If we want people from all over the bay area to join Walk 'N Roll,10:00 AM is about earliest, because for some of us just to get there takes more than an hour. Besides, I do not know what we are going to do afterwards in the picnic area. A lot of us can't last long outside. How long shall we set the whole thing to last? May be some of us can join later. Can the late comers still join the event? How about set the schedule so that we won't hog the space any given time, but the walkers come a little by little through out the morning? and get together in the picnic time for the big party? (I would go just for the party then...)

I think the walk should be at a set time for everyone to go together. Yes, the late-comers can come for the gathering after the walk. The schedule will be around two hours total (not including the registration time when people turn in their registration form/donation before the walk).
